AvtoVAZ sees Russian car, LCV market growing 7–13% in 2018

MOSCOW, Aug 28 (PRIME) -- Russian car producer AvtoVAZ forecasts a 6.9–13.2% growth of the local car and light commercial vehicle (LCV) market in 2018 to 1.7–1.8 million vehicles, CEO Yves Caracatzanis said at a forum on Tuesday.

“What we see today: we have drawn two scenarios, an optimistic of 1.8 million and a pessimistic of 1.7 million,” Caracatzanis said.

He added that a higher or lower result will depend on the macroeconomic conditions, state support and new measures of industrial support.
